Yes this might have you baffled, but it’s completely possible, in fact lots of people do this all the time and have done it for the longest time, well before modern ‘diets’ were even invented. 

The idea of a diet is to restrict calorie intake to facilitate body shape changes, sounds simple right. But they can be confusing, include meal replacement supplements and involve removing some foods completely. 

This is great in practise, but in reality, taking some food from you permanently in order for you to get to a desired body shape isn’t always that easy in practise. You see, the more you are denied something, inevitably, the more you want it. Cravings kick in and you open the biscuits. The thing is once you start you can't stop and before you know it a whole packet has gone. 

Now once you have gotten to this point the guilt sets in, and you feel awful that you have been ‘weak’ and eaten the biscuits, so you throw the diet out the window and go back to eating the way you were before, vowing to start again on Monday. 

Monday comes and the cycle starts again. This is called yo-yo dieting. You're on then you're off.
